Embracer Group - known for acquiring lots of game studios and IP - is restructuring, with studio closures, significant layoffs, and game cancellations expected.

Embracer bought Tomb Raider, Lord of the Rings, Limited Run and more in recent time.

This is one of several recent steps by Twitch to shift creators' income sources from 3rd parties to their own ad service.

Last week @Twitch announced sweeping changes to its user agreement that affected how sponsored content would be presented.
Those changes were met with an outroar by the community, concerned over the lost income they will cause.

Those changes affect not only commercial partnerships but charities as well.
Quickly, Twitch reversed course, saying they are in talks with community ambassadors to understand the community's concerns, and a day later, they scrapped the plan in its current state.

Wise advice:

[Jesse Cox @JesseCox]

To my fellow creators (especially on twitch), I cannot stress this enough:

Don't put all your eggs in one online basket. You don't own your content. You don't own the platform you operate on. At any point that could be taken away from you.

It's not a family, it's a business.

[Cakewalk @JustCakewalk]

🥇 You can decide which will be the primary page of your Cakewalk - activities, or links. It's a good idea to experiment with both options and see which is best for your community.

Simple tips for setting up your Cakewalk to capture your brand and look amazing #brandidentity #simpletips

🎨 Change the default background color. Use a color matching your profile picture, or a background image.

[Cakewalk @JustCakewalk]

🔗 Use your links smartly. You might want your main attraction to be in the links section, and not in the socials bar - sometimes a big button is better than an icon!

@Qwik I tried both PlayStation and PC in the server slam, and eventually decided to play the full release on PC mainly b/c I found it hard to move around quickly as a range class with a controller. ^Icel
