Anita Ekberg was a Swedish actress who was also a trained archer and knew how to box. In 1960, she had a remarkable encounter with the paparazzi.

After warning them to leave her alone repeatedly, she beat one up. Undeterred, they continued to follow her.

She retrieved a bow and arrow from her car. Warned them one last time. And she… shot one of them with an arrow.

Anita Ekberg wasn’t bothered by paparazzi again. The La Dolce Vita star eventually lived to be 83, dying in 2015 in Rome.

In 2013, 5-year-old Jocelyn Rojas was abducted from her front yard by a man in a car who lured her with ice cream.

Fortunately, 15-year-old Temar Boggs and his friend witnessed the incident and decided to take action. They quickly grabbed their bikes and chased after the car.

For 15 minutes, the teenagers pursued the car until the kidnapper realized he had been noticed. He pushed the girl out of the car and fled the scene.

Thanks to the bravery of the two boys, the little girl was rescued. Without their intervention, her fate might have been very different.

Victor Noir’s grave in Père - Lachaise cemetery by Patrick Magaud, 1984. Noir is perhaps more famous for his death and grave than work. He was a journalist who was shot dead; the grave consists of a full-sized bronze statue of the man lying down as if he had just been shot.

The statue became a fertility symbol - the story says those who kiss the statue on the lips, leave a flower in Victor’s hat, and rub the genital area will find themselves with enhanced fertility, a great sex life, or a husband within one year.

The lips and trousers' bulge on the grave are noticeably shiny from people kissing and rubbing them.

In 2004, a fence was built around the grave to prevent women from touching the statue but after many protests it was taken down.
