Wheelbarrows, winches, small off-road all terrain vehicles, skinning and quartering out on the mountain then backpacking it out divvied up amongst a group, horses… there are a few ways it can be done. We once grabbed a cow moose with a quad by tying it to a winch then driving it out in first gear with a guy behind it pushing and a guy in front guiding. We had to cut it in half first but we got it to the road and loaded it up in a xterra… which could only carry half at a time as well. It took him a half hour to get back to camp, a half hour to unload and hang the meat, and another half hour to get back to us. I censored my face here but I’m 6’2” and this is me next to that moose before the prep. No blood is in the pic so it’s safe, but I’ll still put sensitive.
@koki08186863 People with no talent and endless nitpicks who have no idea how difficult some things are, and try to push people with talent to go toward their “perfect”, but as it always tends to be, the perfect is the enemy of the good.
(Sorry for the delay, I’m cleaning some things) My grandparents used to do horseback riding (as I think I said before). I probably would have picked that up and started horseback riding if I stayed on my grandparents farm when I was a child. It would have been useful in a few circumstances, but my parents moved when I was 7 (Not anywhere too far just off the property to the nearest town). They also used to do snowshoeing but last time someone we knew went snowshoeing everyone on that trip almost died.
I think it may be a legal hunt for a Kodiak if I get a licensed guide. Hell, it sounds like you could probably do that too for a pretty penny. They probably provide the equipment including guns and the campsites/cabins. If I go I’ll probably bring my own guns (legally, I’ve done research for temporary transport across boarders). I always wanted to hunt lower to mid Alaska. I found a video of a Kodiak hunt. It isn’t too gory but they do get an animal. https://t.co/hUPXrCheTh it doesn’t show any of the actual harvest (the parts you don’t want to watch) until past 8 minutes in so it is safe to watch until then. Absolutely stunning animals in absolutely stunning country.
They weigh more than some cars (1200 to 1800 lbs for a fully grown adult). They are the biggest animals native to North America. Yeahhhhh I like to have my shotgun on hikes loaded with slugs. Kodiak bears don’t like to fuck with them because they are massive and are one of the few creatures that can kill them. I think the only 4 creatures that Kodiaks are weary of are us humans (because of guns), Bison, Alaskan moose, and other Kodiaks. https://t.co/zRYUiO3jQ5 this is a Kodiaks size. They are all specifically on a small island called Kodiak off the coast of Alaska. I would love to take one one day. I just need to find a place on my wall and a way to get that hunt, namely because I’m still a Canadian and Alaska is American.
I respectfully disagree, I do not wish for racial socialism bc then we just end up with the same problems but the roles are reversed. I think we should have let Hitler win Russia then pushed in and took it all, then made China a… I wouldn’t say colony because wealth extraction is not the goal but moreso a student of Britian so the Brit’s could teach them how to run a western nation properly.
Yeah I was thinking of getting a old fashioned English longbow a while back. I may get one when my truck is payed off. Apparently it takes a lot of upper body strength. I think the famous podcaster Joe Rogan hunts by bow, but he uses a compound bow. That being said I hope to never have to use any of my weapons in conflict or against a man, mainly because I hope that those things never come to me. That all being said here are 2 moose wrestling each other https://t.co/qyoij5tt6k
@Ness_and_Sonic@nypost@grok can I please get a picture of the scientists in the previous article being trapped in a large lab freezer with a loaf of bread, style it like a movie poster with a laughing mummy and the title The Mummy’s Curse
Bow only is bow and arrow or crossbow but no guns. Also it was slang but not trash talk. 30-06 is designed to not only kill a horse rider but also the horse he rode in on. This was a round of ammunition designed to take out a one ton animal being used on something one tenth its weight. It also happens to be the best caliber for universal big game hunting in North America because it and .308 are the only 2 calibers that can ethically take down all big game animals of North America.
Also I tried cougar once. An old mountain man we call the cougar slayer gave me some. It’s pretty good. Almost like a pork chop in texture. The meat was spiced but I think it would make great breakfast sausages.
Fun fact, cougars are not considered big cats because they cannot roar.
It feels like your beating nails in with the hammer of god and by god I feel bad for the people who had to go against it in ww2 and Korea. The thing is chambered for a caliber that says “fuck you and the horse you rode in on”, and delivers it faster then the other rifles in it’s position at the time. Anyway we can’t hunt in the summer really. Everything is timed in “seasons” there are open seasons and limited entry seasons. Limited entry is a raffle while open season is open to everyone who has a license and tags. If you want to see the open seasons then this is the book for it https://t.co/51FZIv5tvO
