Enough bad news out there...might as well look through past travel photos to boost our spirits and dream about where we’ll head when this is all over. I thought we’d make it fun and see if you all can guess the location of our d…
Enjoying every moment to get outside for some exercise and fresh air. Good to see others out doing the same (from a safe distance) on a bluebird sky day.
Today’s local walk was a loop from our local Sunapee Harbor. Hard to believe the harbor is almost completely thawed and …
Thinking back to our trip to Acadia in December...we were still so blissfully unaware. Hard to believe so much has changed in so little time—our world’s turned upside down almost overnight. If only I could go back to that perfect moment in time when we emerged from the Great…
Local walks are our thing lately.

Also been doing lots of connecting by FaceTime and Skype with family and friends and playing board games. AND, our three kids started ‘Remote Learning’ today. We are lucky to have an amazing school district with such dedicated teachers and…

Spring is on its way to NH! Little hike with a friend up Mount Pemigewasset today and temps were up above 60 by the time we returned to our car. I can’t remember the last time I hiked in a t-shirt and the warmth felt so good!
What was the weather like where you were today? …
We love national parks and travel but, you know, we really love where we live, too! Lots of great little local hikes and some pretty amazing ones in the White Mountains just an hour or two away. What matters most is just getting outside! What’s your favorite outdoor activity…
Happy 40th birthday to our nation’s 40th National Park! If you have yet to visit, be prepared to take in all the stunning beauty of these coastal islands without the typical national park crowds. Ranking as the least visited national park in California doesn’t mean this park…
Love the ones you hike with... 💕
Such good memories from our visit to North Cascades National Park a couple of summers ago and the amazing hike to Maple Pass! Is there one hike you just can’t get off your mind? Maple Pass is one of mine. I’d hike it again and again and I do…
Lots of NPS birthdays this month! Today we celebrate Mount Rainier’s 121st birthday! Views from the Skyline Trail in Paradise will take your breath away...I promise! The sky was the bluest blue on the day we visited which provided a dramatic backdrop for the stunning Mount R…
Happy 148th birthday to beautiful and awe inspiring Yellowstone —the world’s first national park! So much to love about this amazing place, wouldn’t you agree? We’ve only been once, but I KNOW we’ll be back! How many times have you visited Yellowstone?

Went in search of some sunshine and fresh air which led us to the seacoast to celebrate my birthday! Took my favorite shot of the day as my daughter walked down the pier at Fort Foster and the geese flew overhead. So what if the wind was cranking and nearly blew my phone out…
2 years ago today...we were hiking the Devil’s Hall Trail at Guadalupe Mountains National Park. This hike isn’t particularly long but it does involve boulder scrambling. Since we are used to a fair amount of that in our home state of NH (with boulders of the granite sort), o…
