It is wild to think that God of War Laufey would be out before Spring 2027 -- but it is driving me crazy that PlayStation decided to announce the game as "coming soon" instead of at least giving us...the year?

Likely to keep some surprise and mystique. But if it's nearly a year away, I don't love "coming soon" as the tease. I mean...okay...I'll allow it. But can you imagine if GTA 6 had done that?

God of War Laufey's PS5 release date is effectively "coming soon, wishlist now."

That would usually put it on track to release between October - December 2026.

I suspect @PlayStation just wants to give Wolverine the pre-order spotlight for now. And the latest I could see Laufey is Feb/Mar. 2027 to keep it inside their fiscal year.

Jason Schreier of Bloomberg also seems to hint inside knowledge that it "isn't years away."

Sony would normally announce the game about 12 months out like this. An April 2027 “anniversary” release makes realistic sense.

I have no inside knowledge.

It’s just stands out they have stated “coming soon” and wishlist now so casually.
