Today’s Black American (Freedmen) inventor and innovator is Dr. Myra Adele Logan. In the 1940s, Dr. Logan became the first woman of any race to perform open-heart surgery and the ninth person overall to perform such an operation. She also contributed to the development of the antibiotic Aureomycin and to advancements in X-ray techniques that improved the detection of differences in tissue density, aiding in the identification of tumors. #BlackHistoryMonth

🙂↔️🎤🌹📻🇺🇸……I pulled up to Al Sharpton’s little c00n convention and somehow got control of the mic! Salute to @BlackAlphaNetw1 for highlighting that “secretary of reconciliation” bs in his broadcast last night! #UnregisterToVote#NoCheckNoVote
Today's Black American (Freedmen) innovator is Arlene Maclin. Maclin is a physicist who led a high-speed integrated circuit program at the CIA. Under her leadership, the program advanced silicon chip technology from roughly 10 transistors to over 100,000 within a few years. Her work contributed to advances in highly integrated circuits that later became foundational to modern computing and electronic systems. #BlackHistoryMonth
Today's Black American (Freedmen) inventor is Patricia Cowings. In the 1970s, Cowings became the first American woman to be trained as a scientist astronaut. However, what she is most known for is developing the autogenic-feedback training exercise (AFTE), a treatment for space motion sickness she developed and patented. AFTE teaches people to control up to 20 physiological responses--such as heart rate, skin conductance, muscle reactivity and blood pressure--to overcome motion sickness and improve performance during high-stress tasks. This is still used by NASA to this day. #BlackHistoryMonth
Akon says his father had 19 kids and made sure they were all born in the U.S. before sending them back to Senegal. This is why Birthright citizenship needs to end, because it’s a scam 🤦🏾♂️
Today’s Black American (Freedmen) inventor is Warren M. Washington. Dr. Washington helped develop some of the first computer models of Earth’s atmosphere. These models accurately simulate changes in the atmosphere, land, and oceans, and they remain foundational to meteorology, atmospheric science, and climate prediction to this day. #BlackHistoryMonth
Today’s Black American (Freedmen) inventor or innovator is Dr. Marc Hannah.
Dr. Hannah is a co-founder of Silicon Graphics, Inc. (SGI), a company that pioneered advanced computer graphics hardware and software. He helped design high-performance workstations that made possible groundbreaking, realistic 3D graphics used in films such as Terminator 2: Judgment Day and Jurassic Park.
SGI technology also played a major role in the production of Toy Story, the first fully computer-animated feature film in history.
Dr. Hannah’s influence extended into the gaming industry as well. He led the design of key graphics technology used in the Nintendo 64, including the system’s coprocessor responsible for its advanced 3D rendering capabilities.
Through his work, Dr. Marc Hannah helped lay the foundation for modern computer graphics in film, animation, and video games. #BlackHistoryMonth

Today's Black American (Freedmen) is Dorothy McFadden Hoover. As an aeronautical research scientist, she revolutionized the physics of flight. While working for NASA, she provided the sophisticated mathematical equations required to stabilize swept-back wings at supersonic speeds.
In 1951, she co-authored a landmark research report with Robert T. Jones on thin, tapered wings, a breakthrough that solved critical lift distribution issues. Her mathematical contributions are still embedded in the design of nearly every modern commercial jet, fighter plane, and spacecraft in the sky today.
No longer a "hidden" figure. #BlackHistoryMonth
