A handful of Chiefs are holding an entire nation hostage, preventing any progress.
By having more and more people in the public sector it acts as an insurance policy for re-election. In the short term, great for the political class. In the long run, catastrophic economic collapse. If the majority of people do not produce goods and services, then the economy will grind to a halt.

Of course it will, anything worth doing takes effort, and Albertan's don't shy away from work. As for the cost, two things:
1) We don't need every single thing on day 1.
2) Staying in Canada will be far more expensive in the long term.
