Communist used to be a slur for a reason. The ideology has left behind mass poverty, brutal dictatorships, shattered economies, and the deaths of millions.
Anyone trying to sanitize that history should be ashamed of turning their backs on its victims. https://t.co/O2zsQNtTJV
@EWErickson Eric -- He would only have done this if he was getting something. It may only have been a plastic gold golf award cup or statue of himself (he's pretty cheap afterall), but he got something.
Said Todd Blanche in April, "If [Trump] chooses to nominate somebody else and asks me to go do something else, I will say, 'Thank you very much. I love you, sir.'"
It's one thing to have a Natalie Harp in the White House. But in the office of attorney general? This is bad for our national health.
Any Republican would recognize this, if the administration were Democratic.
@MarkTKnoop@DarlineGrahamSC Eliminating the filibuster is a very bad, no good, foolish idea. Extremely shortsighted. Find another way. Change the legislation to requiring photo ID, which the country supports.
Communism has always sold itself with soft words. But every country that has embraced it has seen the same outcomes: economic collapse, more government control, and freedoms being suppressed.
Rebranding the ideology doesn’t change its disastrous history. https://t.co/9QOmjeiEQ3
@DarlineGrahamSC Nope. Don't be short-sighted and, pardon me, foolish. (Pass voter ID--you have the country's support on that, but not the whole "Save" act.)
Today, Iranian regime hanged him in secret in Shahroud، no warning, no farewell. His family was told to come at 3am to collect his body.
Arvin Kheirkhah was 20 years old. This is his last words to his family:
"Don't let me be forgotten. Don't let the path we walked go silent."
💔
@RepDonBacon It reflects a perception, and you know about perception. Republicans do not appear to have stood up for Ukraine against dear leader. If they have, they've kept it a good secret. Meier's "every" may be hyperbole, but "several" of you has not been enough to give Ukraine proper aid.
Today they buried him...
And the world's media, the college campuses, no one is talking about the war this regime waged against us Iranian people.
Every single day, the Islamic Republic executes another protester. Every single day, another family is shattered…
💔😔
KATERYNA LISUNOVA: How long will it take? What estimated time are we talking about? It probably will be autumn, if I'm not mistaken, for the bill to have final passage.
SEN. KATIE BRITT (R-AL): Yeah. So what we'll do, is we'll go through the process here. We'll work with our colleagues on both sides of the aisle to work to a time agreement to try to get this through as quickly as possible. Then it will be in the House's court, so to speak.
And so we're hopeful that they can see this momentum that we've built here in a bipartisan way. Just as Senator Blumenthal said, I mean, this is narrowly targeted. This gives flexibility, that economic firepower to drive Putin to the table and end this war. At the end of the day, there have been two million people that have lost their life as a result of this absolutely, indefensible aggression from Putin, and it's time to bring that to an end.
So we need to stand shoulder to shoulder and show them that America is with them. Tonight, we heard from President Zelenskyy, we heard from President Stubb (Finland). This is what they need, both from economic perspective, but also from a morale and showing that we're ready to see this resolved. So we hope that our colleagues in the House will take this up quickly and then get it to the president's desk so that we can end this war.
