The internet makes me more anxious than it used to.
These days, feeling like online is being overtaken by AI-generated or AI-assisted content. And it's not just images and videos, but articles as well. It's become very easy to come across large numbers of posts written in almost the same style, with sections that don’t quite connect, repeated information in the middle, and emotionally charged slogans.
It now feels like being surrounded by illusions, but with my mind clear, which somehow makes uncomfortable. My brain is constantly trying to distinguish what is authentic and what is not, and I find that incredibly draining.
Stepping away from the internet? doesn't help much tho. AI-generated content is also appearing in advertisements, signs, posters, everywhere, surroundings homogenized by a small number of AI models. I've never felt closer to living in a dystopia.
