Some highlights from my very brief layover in Brussels on Monday 🇧🇪

@betweenengland I used to but haven't done for several years.

I don't think there's much protection from doing it. If someone gets your bag, it won't take long for them to get inside.

@SoloTravelStory That would've been my next stop. I went to the shopping arcade but couldn't really enjoy it like I wanted as I was keeping an eye on the time ready to dash for the bus back to the airport.

If I'd anticipated the delay, I'd have hung around a bit longer.

On route to Krakow where I'll have around 12 hours solo wandering 🇵🇱

On the way back I have a 7 hour layover in Brussels 🇧🇪

Any recommendations for either city in the limited time I have for exploring would be amazing 🕵️

@SoloTravelStory But your guide helped me make the best of a bad situation. I basically followed the morning itinerary, starting at the Stock Exchange.
The main square is stunning and I had a wander to Halles Saint-Gery (big fan of that place).
Those recommendations definitely helped!

I messed up and only realised last minute that I was flying into Charleroi airport 🤦

So 2 hours of travelling to/from the airport didn't give me as much time as I'd have liked. Although my flight was delayed nearly 2 hours anyway 🥲

Maximum for a good burger should be £12. The problem is, someone will always pay that amount, so the prices will stay high.
