They do later release another statement saying the police officer who kicked the suspect in the head is being investigated for possible criminal conduct. As he should be. But that doesn't change any of this.

The elderly mother I believe was involved in an incident on the plane, which is apparently the root of the incident in the airport according to what I have read.

Again, not condoning the officer's actions as such. But it's not as simple.
