They told us to study hard, work smart, and the future would be ours. But 8.1 million of us are sitting with qualifications, dreams, and CVs that collect dust while the unemployment rate keeps climbing. We’re not lazy we’re locked out. And if 301,000 jobs can vanish in 3 months, you start to realize: waiting for the system to save you is the fastest way to stay stuck. The future won’t be handed to us. We have to build it ourselves, even if we have to start from zero
💔💔💔Sad news never ends 😔💔
A police officer allegedly shot and killed his wife before turning the gun on himself… after discovering that the twins he believed were his children were not biologically his. The reported father of the twins was said to be his close friend.
This is heartbreaking on so many levels 😢
But beyond the shock, there is something important we must learn from this.
Pain, betrayal, anger, and emotional trauma are real. However, violence is never the solution. Taking a life — including your own — does not fix the pain. It only leaves more broken families, traumatized children, and communities in tears.
As men and women, we must learn:
• To control our emotions during painful situations
• To seek counseling or professional help when overwhelmed
• To walk away instead of reacting in anger
• To talk to someone we trust before making permanent decisions
No matter how painful the truth is, there is always another way to respond.
Mental health matters. Communication matters. Walking away matters.
If you are going through betrayal, unemployment stress, relationship problems, or depression — please speak to someone. Your life is worth more than a temporary situation.
And to those currently unemployed and feeling hopeless 😔 — do not allow stress to control your decisions. There are still opportunities out there.
If you know someone who is not working, tell them there are jobs and other career opportunities they can apply for.
Job application link is in my comment section.
Let’s choose growth over destruction. Let’s choose hope over anger. 🙏

Pakistani national killed in fatal pitbull attack in North West
A 39-year-old man has died after being allegedly attacked by two pitbull dogs at a residence in Vryburg in the early hours of Thursday, 1 January 2026.
According to North West police, Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) were called to the scene around 02h30 am and transported the severely injured man to a local hospital. He later succumbed to his wounds on Friday evening.
Lieutenant Colonel Sam Tselanyane, police spokesperson, said the victim believed to be a Pakistani national was renting a room at the property where the attack occurred.
Officers found him in the surgical ward with multiple wounds and scratches on his hands and legs, consistent with dog bites.
Preliminary investigations suggest this was not the first incident involving the same animals. A related case against the dogs is pending and is due to be heard at the Vryburg Magistrates’ Court in February.
Following consultations with the owner, the two pitbulls were euthanised on Saturday, 3 January 2026. No arrests have been made, and police have opened an inquest as they continue to probe the circumstances surrounding the fatal attack.

Springbok women’s rugby in mourning after captain Lusanda Dumke dies of cancer
South African women’s rugby has been plunged into deep sorrow following the death of former Springbok Women’s captain Lusanda Dumke, who passed away on Tuesday in East London after a courageous battle with a rare form of gastric cancer. She was just 29 years old.
Dumke, a dynamic loose forward, was a standout figure in South African rugby. She earned 33 Test caps for the Springbok Women, captaining her country on multiple occasions, and was widely admired for her leadership, skill, and tenacity on the field.
At club level, Dumke also served as captain of the Bulls Daisies, leading the side to historic success in the Women’s Premier Division and becoming a beloved figure within the Blue Bulls rugby community.
SA Rugby president Mark Alexander paid heartfelt tribute to Dumke, describing her as “a symbol of courage, leadership, and resilience far beyond her years,” noting that her impact extended well beyond her playing career.
Her passing comes after she stepped away from professional rugby earlier this year for health reasons, as her condition worsened. Dumke’s legacy is marked not only by her achievements in green and gold but also by the inspiration she provided to young athletes and teammates alike.
Tributes have poured in from across the rugby world, with colleagues and supporters mourning a remarkable athlete whose passion and spirit helped elevate women’s rugby in South Africa. Funeral arrangements will be announced by her family.
