where others write to remember, i write as an act of exorcism. to articulate a thought is to surrender it, giving it a body on the page so my spirit no longer has to carry its weight.
give yourself the next 3 months to take urself seriously.
not in the “i'm better than everybody” kind of way, i mean actually believing that you can become much better than where you are right now.
pick something you want to get good at and show up for it every day. even when nobody is clapping for you. even when the people around you don't understand why you're suddenly so serious about it.
a lot can change in 3-6 months when you stop starting and stopping.
you'll learn things you didn't know, meet people you wouldn't have met, make mistakes, get better and probably surprise yourself with how far you can actually go.
you don't need everyone around you to believe in what you're doing before you start.
believe in yourself enough to give yourself a real chance.
