@Pandamoanimum I noticed this when my mum was in a care home with dementia. She was in her early 60’s and the youngest there. She liked a bit of Bowie and was also into Trance. Surrounded by pictures of Elvis and fellow residents who liked the same music as *her* mum!
Yesterday my little girl turned 3. Tomorrow I’m taking her to see her nan for maybe the last time. My funny, feisty, brave mum has fought dementia for around 5 years now and it’s finally getting the better of her. If you’ve got one, give your mum (or dad) a call.
3 years ago to the moment I was in the prenatal area in St Thomas’ Hospital. The England v Russia match just kicked off and the induction that I was told wouldn’t start working for 24 hours was starting to kick in...2 hours after being administered. It was a long night!
It was my daughters 3rd birthday party today. I spent a billion pounds on stuff that can’t be reused, another billion on food that went to a food bank (I’m a ‘feeder’), and a billion on a hall and bouncy castle. 3 billion well spent I reckon 👍
@ScarredForLife2 I tell people younger than me about this stuff growing up and no one believes me...we lived literally under a dark (mushroom) cloud of a threat for years!
@99_hp@shysteee2018@LouiseRawAuthor Same! Gated (because you know, parking in London) community of 400 properties with such a fantastic and diverse mix of cultures that we all get together once a year to celebrate it with food and music. We have a church and a mosque nearby #community
@CornwallLive ‘London’ 🙄. Southend Airport is 34 miles from there (in the wrong direction). Someone needs to sort out a route from London City airport.
