People want unhoused individuals to go "somewhere" from jail to workhouses. History has taught us that warehousing, jailing, or interring doesn't help those who need it the most.

Most landlords provide a 30-day notice on a lease non-renewal. That's an impossibly short time for a senior to find and secure low-income housing. Why? Because we don't have enough. Rents that were $800 are being raised by 20% to 200% because that's "market rate".
