Bullish thesis on $React
Honestly, most smart contracts today still feel stuck in 2020. They just sit there waiting for someone (or some bot) to call them. That’s the part that always bothered me.
Reactive Network flips this. Their contracts actually listen to events on other chains and react on their own. Pure Solidity, fully on-chain, no keepers, no off-chain nodes, nothing external that can go offline or get compromised. One contract can watch Ethereum, trigger something on Base or Arbitrum, and settle wherever it needs to. No middleman.
The Lambda example they just highlighted is a good one. A Uniswap v4 hook that automatically keeps a hedge in sync on a completely different chain every time there’s a swap. No bot running in the background. That’s the kind of thing that used to require custom infrastructure and constant maintenance. Now it’s just a reactive contract.
I like that they’re not trying to be another general-purpose L1. They’re focused on one clear job: making automation native and trust-minimized across chains. Compared to keeper networks (even decent ones like Chainlink Automation), this feels cleaner because the logic stays on-chain the whole way.
Is it perfect yet? Of course not. Adoption still needs to grow and more real protocols have to ship with it. But the direction is right. In a world that’s only getting more multi-chain and more automated, having contracts that can actually stay awake and respond without relying on external services is a real edge.
That’s why I’m bullish on it.
Extremely bullish on $React
Portfolio rebalancing is one of those things that sounds simple until you actually try to do it properly. Prices move every day, your basket drifts, and suddenly you’re either babysitting positions or letting the allocation get completely out of shape.
Most people either ignore it or rely on some off-chain script that has to stay running and can break at the worst possible time.Coinstancy just went live on Reactive mainnet with a cleaner approach. They deposit stables into a predefined basket (BTC, ETH, whatever the strategy is).
A reactive contract sits there watching Chainlink price feeds across chains, mainly Arbitrum but also Ethereum where needed. When the portfolio drifts past the target allocation, the contract itself decides a rebalance is needed and drops a verifiable request on-chain. No scheduler, no monitoring service, nothing external that has to be kept alive.
The actual swaps still happen in Coinstancy’s backend (they use managed wallets and existing liquidity), which is honest engineering. They didn’t force everything on-chain just for the sake of it. The reactive part does what it’s best at: multi-chain watching and the decision logic, fully on-chain and auditable. You can literally point to the price event that triggered the rebalance. This is the kind of quiet, practical use case that makes the whole idea click for me.
Automation that just works in the background, stays close to the target allocation, and removes the emotional or inconsistent human decisions. And it’s already in production, not a testnet demo. That’s the direction I want more protocols to move in.
Reactive isn’t trying to be flashy here. It’s just making the boring but necessary part of portfolio management reliable and trust-minimized. When more teams start doing this instead of running their own keepers, the gap becomes obvious.
Still early, but integrations like this are exactly why I’m bullish.
Ladies and gentlemen, it's time to pass the torch and demote myself to my natural state: a poster. I'll be stepping back from leading product for 𝕏 and will continue on as an advisor.
Serving the X community has been the privilege of a lifetime. X is, and will remain, the most important communication technology in history. But running this app is a 24/7 job and it's now time for me to take a breather.
The app is seeing unprecedented growth in new users & engagement. We continue to break records every month. We've climbed 70 spots in the App Store since this time last year.
And in the last 400 days, we rebuilt almost every aspect of X: the Timeline, the Android app, onboarding, notifications, chat and more.
We also launched nearly 30 new products while protecting the integrity of the town square: becoming the first app to show Country-of-Origin on profiles and mounting defenses against AI bots. There's certainly much more work to be done, but our foundation is stronger than ever.
None of this would have been possible without the incredible team here. The next leaders will take X to even greater heights with @benjitaylor on design, @singhai on core product engineering and @dinkin_flickaa on mobile engineering -- among many other great people.
Thank you to Elon and the X team for welcoming me into the company. See you on the Timeline.
