The Fifteenth Court of Appeals is unlike Texas's regional courts of appeals because its jurisdiction extends statewide over specific categories of cases established by law.

That includes certain appeals involving state government, constitutional questions, and the Texas Business Court.

This November, Texans will vote for justices on the Fifteenth Court of Appeals for the first time. I believe voters deserve to understand the court's role and responsibilities before they cast their ballots.

Today we celebrate Constitution Day and the enduring framework that protects our freedoms, defines our government, and guides our courts.
Every judge takes an oath to uphold the Constitution—not personal opinion, not political preference.
