When you take an oath of citizenship in the USA you pledge allegiance to the flag which represents the country & constitution. you dont pledge allegiance to a president or a political party, but to the country. if you dont understand what that means you need a refresher course

@humanistphilos1 well, i mean, "pagan" is historically an insulting descriptor used by colonizers to defame the indigenous populations they were seeking to colonize. it seems to me that honoring a people includes taking time to learn their own words for their ways of life and not the colonizer's
