Kanpur case. Bail exposes a fundamental weakness in the law. In view of a number of incidents of dehumanizing of minorities by assault/insult in public, the country needs a law for them on the pattern of the SC/ST Act 1989 so that INSULT ON ACCOUNT OF RELIGION becomes punishable.
