JSDI was created to promote the use of professionally trained Facility Dogs in the UK Criminal Justice System, and to build an evidence base for such practices.
Did someone say groundbreaking research investigating jury decision-making? ๐ No? Well, let's talk about it anyway! We're running a really exciting piece of research in Canterbury, Kent, UK. For more information and to book your place, please see here: https://t.co/5I3WJIz9Y9
Orange you glad I didn't say apple? No, we're outside Pears! (If you didn't get this joke, just search "The Annoying Orange". Millennials, iykyk.)
One of the many places Oliver visits and carries mout his magic in is the Pears building, part of Kent and Medway Medical School.
We're currently hard at work analysing the data from our most recent study investigating potential jury bias with the use of facility dogs in courts. We can't wait to share the research! Oliver did a stellar job acting for the video clips used in this research. #dogsoftwitter
Behind the scenes from the filming we did for our study we ran yesterday. Thanks to everyone who turned up - you made this research possible! Stay tuned for updates when we analyse the data. #dogsoftwitter ๐พ

Retweet and help us reach more people who might need us.
Sad and shocked to read that less than 2% of rapes reported in England and Wales in 2022 have resulted in a charge or court summons. More must be done to reform the criminal justice system and help victims/survivors go through the process. (Source: https://t.co/RNvPAXP2QS)
What's Oliver up to over the next week? When he's not being spoilt by Liz, Oliver will be visiting the Kent and Medway Medical School to help students with their wellbeing and spread the news about the important work he does. #dogsoftwitter
So stoked to share our paper investigating the effects of animal-assisted activities in higher education has finally been published! You can read about the impactful work Oliver and Pixie did at @CanterburyCCUni here: https://t.co/uvsvPoByvj
It's been quiet on the social media front here - we've been busy behind the scenes! Oliver enjoyed his tour of educational facilities around Canterbury and we've been very busy analysing data from our questionnaire and interviews earlier this year. Watch this space...! ๐ท
Oliver (pictured in the Verena Holmes lecture theatre!) is excited to make a return to KMMS to visit students after a hopefully relaxing and restful Easter break. Seeing students might be his favourite part of his job - the more cuddles, the better!
