The Court orders the following:
#MarcWilson is sentenced to the maximum of ten years in prison, and will not be sentenced as a First Offender. He’s also granted time served for his time in pretrial detention.
The sentencing hearing for Marc Wilson is underway. A jury found him guilty last month of involuntary manslaughter. Judge Ronnie Thompson informed both sides they’ll have one hour each to present their witnesses then closings.

The Bulloch Co. District Attorney’s Office, led by Daphne Totten, just committed a lynching. The jury returned a NOT GUILTY verdict on EVERY count of their indictment, yet somehow #MarcWilson is still convicted.
BREAKING: The jury has found #MarcWilson guilty of involuntary manslaughter, and not guilty of every other charge accused.

Marc Wilson and his attorneys return to court to await the jury’s verdict in Day 6 of the trial.
The way we normalize violent, erratic behavior for white children while criminalizing and demonizing the honest fear and terror of Black youth is partly why this country is what it is. We codified into law our most unnatural tendencies while throwing away our most vulnerable.
