He died in a hit-and-run in Faridabad. It has been eight days. Eight days. The police seem to be of no help. And I genuinely don't understand why this has to be so difficult when there is CCTV footage and the number of the car. What exactly are we supposed to do?@police_haryana
@cmohry, don't we have a right to safe roads? Don't innocent people have a right to come back home?
An old man was simply going about his life. He was hit, killed. And eight days later, there is still no accountability.
How is this okay? @DGPHaryana
How does an innocent life become just another number, another case file, another incident that nobody talks about? We deserve safer roads. Families deserve answers. And when there is CCTV footage and a vehicle number, justice should not be this difficult. @DGPHaryana
At PS Surajkund, we were informed that the Smart City cameras at the accident location had reportedly remained non-functional because of funding-related issues.
If this is correct, FMDA owes Faridabad an explanation.
• Since when were they non-functional?
• Why were they still installed?
• How many investigations may have been affected?

We were informed that the registered owner of the vehicle was not the person driving, that another driver had been identified, and that the vehicle had been seized.
We later came to know that the person had obtained bail.
What we still don't have is documented clarity on:
• The current stage of the investigation.
• When FIR No. 408/2026 will next move before the court.
• What the next official procedural step is.

We have supporting documents:
• FIR No. 408/2026
• Vehicle video
• Newspaper coverage
A family has unexpectedly lost a husband, a father, a grandfather, and a friend.
We respectfully request three things:
1. A clear update on when FIR No. 408/2026 will next move before the court.
2. A public clarification from FMDA on whether the Smart City cameras at this location were operational on 27 August.
3. That all available evidence be placed before the court at the earliest so it can be validated that the right person responsible for this hit-and-run is being prosecuted.
Please repost.

Nine days after the post-mortem, we still had not received the report.
We don't need assurances.
We don't need courtesy calls.
We need Results.
We respectfully request that the investigation, supporting evidence, and official records move before the court without avoidable delay—and that the victim's family receives timely, factual updates.
