We don’t always get to pick and choose the moments where we make a difference. We don’t always know the conversations that students will remember.
As educators, we should never underestimate our impact. We might now know when… and we might not know how… but it’s always there.
Students are more likely to enjoy school when they are connected to school. Whether its friends, subject area, teacher, PE, Arts, music, recess, lunch, or extra curricular activities, find as many ways for students to connect positively with you and school!
Athletes who win consistently in their developing years cannot learn resilience. Learning to bounce back from failure is critical preparation for the shark infested waters of senior competition. Coaches must create winning and losing learning experiences.
Teaching is… what people do when they want to make a difference… when they want to improve the lives of others… when they want to create brighter futures… when they want to change the world, one child at a time. That’s what teaching is.
“A child who reads will be an adult who thinks.”
Thank you to all of those who supported my classroom this year. I love being able to send these kiddos into spring break with a book in their hands!🖤💛🖤💛🖤💛
