Crimes against #women are escalating with impunity and there is little or no change in the official culture of lower courts and prosecutors who have allowed such homicidal violence to be normalised. From Hina Javed to this heinous daylight murder of a woman shot for seeking her right to divorce in Multan. We need to ask the law divisions of each province, the police and the lower courts why the conviction rates of such criminals is barely 5 % across the country? What is this complicity of inaction?

Hina Javed was tortured and murdered inside her home. In the same few weeks, Shamsu Bibi was killed, Hina Zareef was murdered after seeking freedom from an unwanted marriage and Jannat Khatoon was set on fire in Sindh, though she survived.

Hina Javed was the Media Executive of the Directorate General of Media, NA Secretariat since Nov 19-Jun 26

She was hired by NITB as a content writer for the Speaker National Assembly Office and National Assembly Secretariat, later in 2019 and then she was promoted to Media Executive.

In June 2026 her deputation at NA Secretariat ended and then she was deputed to President House by National Information Technology Board (NITB)
