Cuban president Miguel Díaz-Canel condemned imperialist efforts to sow chaos and division in the world, calling for the defense of multilateralism.

Pointing to climate catastrophe, devastating regional wars, and rapidly expanding wealth inequality, Díaz-Canel stated, "The crisis of capitalism has reached its most acute point."

Amid US attacks on his country, he once again asserted that the Cuban Revolution would not surrender.

Díaz-Canel delivered the speech in Havana on Monday as part of the opening address to the First International Colloquium Fidel: Legacy and Future, which commemorated the 100th anniversary of the birth of Fidel Castro.
