“When did New York City go from a melting pot, to an empty pan?

That is the message sent by the City when it publishes a map of “immigrant enclaves” and leaves out numerous cornerstones in our City’s rich immigrant history. 

The Italians of Little Italy and Arthur Avenue; The Irish of Gaelic Park and Little Ireland; the largest Jewish-American community in Borough Park - all left out. Also disregarded is Staten Island, the most Italian county in the United States, also home to one of the largest Sri Lankan communities in the world, and a growing number of Albanian, and Filipino immigrants, not to mention the many Puerto Rican families that moved and raised their families here.

Ignorance is not a good ingredient for highlighting the sacrifices of so many, who built this City and gave so much. Willful ignorance, however, is a deliberate failure to honor the memory of my family and millions of others.

Seemingly, there are those who are erasing our rich history and individuals that built the foundation for the City we call home.”

Mamdani-appointed commission recommends 18% pay raises for NYC elected officials while exploring plans to massively hike taxes!

A commission hand-picked by Mayor Zohran Mamdani has recommended giving New York City elected officials an 18.2% pay raise, the largest increase in a decade.

The Quadrennial Advisory Commission, appointed by Mamdani in March 2026 shortly after he took office, recommended salary bumps for the mayor, City Council members, borough presidents, the comptroller, public advocate, council speaker, and district attorneys. These would be the first raises since 2016.

Under the proposal:

➡The mayor’s salary would rise from $258,750 to $305,800.
➡City Council members would go from $148,500 to $175,500.
➡The Council Speaker would increase from $164,500 to $194,400.
➡The comptroller, public advocate, and borough presidents would also receive significant raises.

The recommendations now head to the City Council for approval.

This comes as Mamdani continues pushing higher taxes while his own appointed commission moves to increase compensation for the political class.

Chicago teen who executed a USPS mail carrier delivering mail sentenced to just 5 years in juvenile detention!!

Octavia Redmond, a 48-year-old letter carrier, was gunned down in Chicago’s West Pullman neighborhood in July 2024. The then-15-year-old got out of a stolen vehicle and shot her multiple times at close range. He later pleaded guilty to first-degree m*rder.

Instead of being tried as an adult for cold-bloodedly killing a woman doing her job, he received only 5 years in juvenile detention. With good behavior, he could be back on the streets in roughly three and a half years.

This is what passes for justice in too many Democrat-run cities.

Before the Crusades, two-thirds of the Christian world had already fallen under Islamic rule.
Your school probably skipped that part.

They taught you the Crusades began in 1095, as if Christians just woke up one morning and decided to march east for no reason.

But history did not begin in 1095.
By then, Islamic armies had already conquered massive portions of the Christian world:
Syria.
Egypt.
North Africa.
The Holy Land.
Spain.
In 711 AD, Islamic forces crossed into Spain.
By 732 AD, they had pushed all the way into France.
That is where Charles Martel met them at the Battle of Tours and stopped the advance into Western Europe.
Some historians consider it one of the most decisive battles in world history.
So when people talk about the Crusades without mentioning the 400 years before them, they are not giving you history.

They are giving you a narrative.
Were the Crusades complicated?
Of course.
Were Christians perfect?
No.

But the idea that the Crusades were some random act of Christian aggression is historically dishonest.
The real story begins long before 1095.

And once you know what happened before the Crusades, the entire conversation changes.

They buried this.
Now you know.
