Writing39c also let me learn about using twitter as a platform to spread information. I never used twitter before, so it was a first-time experience for me. #WhatIlearnedin39C
Creating a literature review was new and interesting. It was something I haven't done before, having to do my own research on a topic. #WhatIlearnedin39C
Writing39c really was a good introduction to reading, analyzing, and studying research articles. It is something you don't get much exposure to outside. #WhatIlearnedin39C
#39canimals There are 10 main reasons for the abandonment of dogs: moving, cost of pet maintenance, landlord issues, no time for a pet, inadequate facilities, too many pets at home, pet illness, personal problems, biting, and no home for litter mates.
"The suppression of wolves caused the population of coyotes to increase, which meant that they fed excessively on other species to the point of risk of endangerment (Ripple et al. 78)." #39canimals
I feel that writing39C really showed me a lot about the animals we live with and neglect. Especially with birds and other animals we live with in our cities. #39canimals#WhatIlearnedin39C
While this is true, I think we all need to be more conscious of ourselves as well. People who litter and pollute the environment not only hurt animals, but also ourselves. #39canimals
#39canimals "If everyone agrees with not harming other species or destroying their habitat, and everyone develops a thought of protecting the natural environment and stop polluting, there will not be any problems appearing in the future that innocent animal species need to face"
#39canimals "there are only 592 (Mariana) crows left (Fancy 1999). The comparison indicated a 56% decrease of Mariana Crow population, suggesting to be the result of habitat loss due to human development, typhoons, and persecution."
To mitigate elephant poaching for ivory, bans must be put in place. Thanks to the bans being made by some of the worldβs largest ivory consumers, the demand has seen great declines. It is important to note that legal markets still exist in parts of the UK, Japan, etc #39canimals
I feel like euthanasia is such a hard thing to do for people. But is there really a good alternative? No-kill shelters still have their own problems and are often unable to accept too many animals. #39canimals

Whats crazy is that we are really at the mercy of large companies. I am willing to bet that even if we play our part, water bottles will still be made with cheap plastics for years. #39canimals
Ivory was used for many common items combs, brush handles, piano keys and pool balls and was in such great demand that the elephant population of 26 million in the 1800s dropped to 10 million in the 1900s, and continued to drop to a mere 600 thousand in 1989. #39canimals
House cats are actually very proficient hunter, a little too proficient. They are actually leading killers of many small birds and animals. #39canimals

@Allison03579787 I think that trying to clean up is not only good for saving corvids, but for all animals. We all need to do our part in cleaning up. #39canimals
Living a bird-friendly life is easy, and little things could help birds near your area. If you have a dog, leaving some fur outside makes for good nesting material, planting a tree helps house birds, etc.
