“It’s been amazing. It’s been so rewarding for me and just kind of freeing. I’ve always wanted that feeling of feeling free. And I feel like this has been the best I’ve ever been able to perform because I have that capability and that ability to have that freedom of just... whether that’s putting matches together and performing differently. Or having a different mindset or not having people tell you ‘no’ or being scared to tell something and then you will be told no. It’s just a freedom. Why should a free agent with a bright future and options decide to go to WWE. At what point does thinking “It’ll be different with me!” go from self-confidence to complete arrogance? The system over there is broken, it doesn’t matter how talented you are.

They don’t let the wrestlers WRESTLE, Ilja hasn’t won a match since January, hasn’t been on TV since March. Ricky Starks hasn’t been allowed to cut an in ring promo in almost two months, and the last one ended with him getting pimp slapped. Then the next time he walks out to complete silence the office will be telling themselves “Kids just not over” and blame him for it.

It’s a self fulfilling prophecy and there are a million and one examples 🤷🏿‍♂️
