I ran for Congress in a rural district that voted Democrat in 2012. Split ticket in 2016. And full red in 2020.

It is sad but I talk to people everyday that don’t want the gov’t to tell them what to do (wear a mask) and praise these same legislatures for fighting for their rights. There is a disconnect in understanding about this pandemic and how to get it under control & these same people
Democratic governors lost COVID restriction powers in states like Michigan & Wisconsin. Republican legislatures said they wanted more decision-making power. Now that cases are spiking in those states, what are they proposing?
Some people just don’t care about events/issues that do not affect them even though they are extremely harmful to others. This is showing their true colors but it is no surprise. We need our leaders to do better, to be better.
Michigan’s GOP Legislature never used subpoenas to investigate:
✖️Enbridge oil spill in Kalamazoo River
✖️Unemployment Insurance Agency’s false fraud scandal
✖️Flint water crisis
✖️UIA’s meltdown w/ jobless claims this spring
✖️Campaign finance irregularities of its own members
