Have all your details ready.
#MatricResults2017#FreeEducation
@Mo_Amla@ProfMkhize The purpose is simple my brother, those who apply and get accepted at higher institution of learning with a combined household income of less than R350K, must get #FreeEducation. Simple!
@MGaladile E.g.Wits received 56‚901 applications for first year's and can accomodate 5664 students. Even if an additional 60% of the matriculants apply who didn't, where are they going to get the spaces from? Its a capacity issue as well. Few of those who didn't apply maybe lucky via CACH
@MGaladile Which one is cheaper and safer between travelling to Johannesburg for a walk in application and travelling to a nearby town for an internet cafe and do the online late application? Logic clearlu dictates online my brother. However...more can be dobe to accomodate the poor!
@AugustMorena@thabiso22481543 @leolinqegu @EFF Demoralised by what? If they didn't apply when NSFAS was there, what's going to make them apply for #FreeEducation? Nothing is going to change on the application front but only the funding model and criteria for student's selection
@Mo_Amla@ProfMkhize By the way some universities the application fee is zero if the application is done online. Step in the right direcrion but not enough for the poor. Which is why #FreeEducation#Freeus here. And here to stay
@Mo_Amla@ProfMkhize Then if it's a case of application fee been a barrier why didn't the EFF go on a strike last year and the year before that to ensure those who didn't apply gets an opportunity for funding via NSFAS? Coincidentally they choose to fight for them now 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@thabiso22481543 @leolinqegu @EFF Fast tracking what? Another death of another parent by encouraging matriculants to do walk ins? Universities can only take 208000 students. Once that capacity is reached there's nothing they can do. Besides students from poor villages should have applied for NSFAS. #FreeEducation
@MMDMMW But it is realized though for first year's students this year begining right now. Anyways...let me know when you're ready and have gone through the documents!
@Williampax4 Based on what? Because a body of technocrats from variety of departments came together amd agreed on its possibility. Including Treasury by the way. #FreeEducation
@Ngcobo_NS The unwise thing is that EFF is advising passed matriculants to take a bus from e.g rural Qunu to Johannesburg by UJ which would cost way much more than a matriculant taking a taxi to local town by internet cafe. Let alone buy data. #FreeEducation
@lelo_enhle No, he actually didn't wake up one day. There was a thorough consultative process. 1). Nxasana Commission 2). Inter Ministerial Committee 3). Heher Commision. Come on...do some reading please my sister
