@_sjsarmstrong @AirbnbHelp The ACCC is our national consumer watchdog and they've been great at cracking down on this type of BS behaviour. Larger companies like Airbnb fear ACCC for the negative press and headlines.

@_sjsarmstrong @AirbnbHelp Former lawyer here, it depends on law in your jurisdiction (I'm in Aus) but this is a dramatic reversal of burden of proof. If you're in Aus too, tell them you'll report them to the ACCC and that should resolve it.

@CaitlinKellyNYC Had this happen with a client who owed me $10k. Learned that owner went on a family holiday to EU and hired an agency to replace me without ever paying my bills. Eventually got paid but upgraded my contract terms to have high interest rates and admin fees applied to late invoices
