This was a packed night in 2018.
Last night we set an all time attendance record.
We’re not where we want to be yet, but it’s no longer a pipe dream. Long live “the dog and pony show”.
@MarineLayerPod I can’t even think about MLB right now without getting a sinking feeling in my stomach. In my heart and mind baseball season ended last week.
I want to blame Dan Wilson and he deserves some of it.
However, the entire postseason our offense continued to not deliver as a whole, when we had lots of opportunities.
PS: Take the damn shoes off your head, it’s stupid.
“In five years, I see a team drawing an average of 700-plus a game,”
That’s hard, now, to fathom, watching the game Tiarra performed for. There are 70 or so fans sprinkled throughout the bleachers, half on the opposing third-base side
This was the crowd in 2019 during a Thursday night game. This photo was featured in the first piece of press we ever received. I was embarrassed.
Six years later, on a Thursday, we’ll sellout.
….
To have the opportunity to be invited to their ballpark for events, have meaningful relationships with the people in their front office, have multiple people from their executive team attend our games, and now partner with them, is something I could have never imagined.
…..
I see a player giving lessons to two kids he met at a game the week before.
There’s 100 new problems a day, many make me question everything. 10 years building something and still jumping hurdles.
But then you see all of that…
“how can you not be romantic about baseball?”
I go into the office early to start working on a holiday weekend.
I then head up to the stadium. A couple crosses the street in front of me, the guy is wearing Fish Sticks hat.
The bus with your mascots face on it passes by me.
10 years of figuring this thing out.
More L’s than W’s.
Took at least 6 years to even feel like we made any progress.
Everything takes longer than you think, more time, more money, and effort than you can plan for.
Still working towards becoming an overnight success.
