The rain didn’t stop the Block Captains and neighbors in Highland Gardens and Holy City from coming together to clean up! The areas look so much better after we filled multiple dumpsters with litter, garbage, weeds, and dumping. #ChesterPA
Our family had a great time at the Côte d’Ivoire - Union II friendly at a packed Subaru Park last night! So cool that Chester gets to host a World Cup team. #ChesterPA#WorldCup
We had a great 7th Street Courts Community Build Day painting the court and building planters and benches! I’m really excited for the state-of-the-art mini soccer pitch that will be constructed over the next few weeks too. #ChesterPA
The Safe Summer Kickoff went really well yesterday - great turnout, perfect weather, and fun times! Thank you to the ACCESS Center for hosting, to the DA’s Office for partnering, and to the community organizations and vendors that took time to connect with Chester families.

The new Crozer Park Trail is my family’s new favorite trail in Chester! It’s a secluded, refreshing escape that’s great for walking, running, or biking. I can’t wait until the connector trails are completed for a giant loop around the city! #ChesterPA
I love this project because it’s:
✅ Grant-funded with minimal cost to Chester taxpayers
✅ Elegant, cost-effective solution to increase safety for drivers and pedestrians
✅ Fun, colorful process that invited kids to meaningfully contribute

Thank you to the Peltons for hosting an inspiring DelCo Gives gathering in support of two of my favorite Chester orgs: Making A Change Group (MACG) and Chester Charter Scholars Academy (CCSA). Both return on investment manyfold through their strong impact on Chester youth.
Natalie and the boys got me an early birthday present, which has been a long-time bucket list item: a kayak! So fun to break it in today on the Chester Creek.

Such an honor and a treat to serve as a judge for the 10th Annual CUSD Frederick Douglass Oratorical Contest! I had a front-row seat to powerful, timely excerpts delivered by truly gifted students of all ages. #CPride
It was a beautiful morning to clean up along the waterfront for the CRC Watersheds Annual Cleanup! The trail and the beach looked so much better when we were done - always amazes me how much of a difference even a small group can make. #ChesterPA
Congratulations to Chester Community Coalition on another great GEMS Fundraiser Gala, and to all of this year’s honorees! CCC does important work addressing gun violence-related trauma, and is a critical partner in violence prevention.
For most of my childhood my dream was to be a Blue Angel pilot, in part because my grandfather was a WWII B-24 Flight Engineer. While my career took a different path, it’s so fun to share that dream and passion with the next generation. Stay tuned for the next part of the series!
Thank you to Delorean Andrews for a great “Exploring Aviation” kickoff event for our youth, and to Pastor Nathan Jacobs and the Look Forward Center for being an amazing host and partner!
