Just watched Bruce Almighty and I got to say Bruce(Jim Carrey) is the most selfish person ever. Throws a baby tantrum when he didn't get a promotion he wanted then is given omnipotent powers because of it (why?). Throughout the movie he uses his powers to help no one and infact hurt people. He brought the moon closer to the earth to impress his girlfriend (this caused a tsunami and killed people). Got the one anchor host fired because he got the position Bruce wanted. Cheated on his gf who had been nothing but supportive and throws the world into chaos out of laziness. He answers every prayer with "yes," even the stupid ones. Oh and after cheating he tried to used his god powers to mind control his ex girlfriend into loving him again(thats a bit rapey). All this and he finds "empathy" because he realizes he lost his ex and isnt getting her back. He makes a pitty payer that she finds happiness and God helps him out by getting his ex girlfriend back. I'm failing to find the message here? You can be a douchebag and everything will work out? What the actaul fuck?
