We’ve solved 9 cold cases thanks to @justinwoo @LydiaAnsel and the Vegas Justice League. Today, Commissioner @MichaelNaft presented them with a key to the Las Vegas Strip. Their funding allows us to utilize DNA technology that didn’t exist when these crimes were committed.

#Today, Commissioner Naft, in partnership with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, honored the Vegas Justice League by presenting the Key to the Las Vegas Strip!

Vegas Justice League is a nonprofit organization that has been instrumental in helping solve cold case murders by providing funding for crucial DNA testing.

Most recently, LVMPD cold case detectives with the assistance of the Vegas Justice League, were able to identify the suspect in the murder of Melonie White. White’s body was found on August 27, 1994. In 2021, with the help of the Vegas Justice League, the DNA profile of the unknown suspect was sent to Othram Labs in Texas to identify the suspect and on August 26, 2024, detectives were notified of the suspect’s identity.

The victim, a caucasian female, approx. 50 years old, 5’4”, 104 lbs, was homeless in Pacific Beach. Known locally, her true identity remained a mystery until recent.

Eddie George Snowden Jr. was identified as the suspect in two homicide cold cases from the 1990's.
