Here's a breakdown of Vice President Sara Duterte's office's recent equipment acquisitions for 2023–2024, including CCTV units, vehicles, computer equipment and other assets, according to the Commission of Audit's latest report for the OVP.
COA’s audit report shows the OVP acquired 13 units of “laptops” worth P3.92 million in total, or about P300,000 each. But this is incorrect, the OVP told https://t.co/EkOhqnDYIK, which says it had submitted a summary that mistakenly referred to “12 donated photocopiers and a desktop computer” as “13 laptops.”
COA in its report also noted an accounting issue involving the valuation of those donated photocopiers. It did not flag the OVP for its other acquisitions.
Also included in the acquisitions are CCTV units worth about P200,000 each, Macbook Air laptops worth over P120,000 each, among others.
