The Spurs are the only team in NBA history to have:
76 or more points in the first half
30 or fewer points in the second half
...in any game, regular season or playoffs.
3 hours later and I still can’t believe it.
Knicks held the Spurs to 8/38 shooting in the second half. Brunson and OG went mental and delivered as big a finals win that the league has seen.
As English Football Fans say;
“ITS COMING HOME”
I went back and watched every game of the 1999 Finals last week before game 1.
Duncan was so in control of his own game from such a young age that it’s frightening.

I’ve managed to watch every NBA Finals since 1980 (live or on playback, obviously)
1983, 1990, 1995, 1999, 2002, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2012, 2014, 2017, 2018, 2023, 2024.
Genuinely one-sided affairs that made for tough viewing from a competitive standpoint IMO.
