As 2023 comes to an end, we want to thank all the volunteers and visitors who have been keeping our museum alive and thriving.

We are closed for the winter and will re-open in May of 2024.

The north tunnel (where the track was laid) was supposed to be a connection to a future subway yard that has been planned since the opening of Kipling in 1980.

In the meanwhile this tunnel will be used to store trains.

Streetcar tracks are already going down on the base slab on Toronto’s Adelaide Street. Quick work!

Very cool to see long-abandoned streetcar tracks being rebuilt and re-activated on Adelaide Street in Downtown Toronto.

These tracks will divert the TTC’s 501 Queen Streetcar during @OntarioLine construction. They’ll also act as a long term redundancy for the network.

Today, we bid farewell to the Scarborough RT.

It had a deep impact on our city. Even the iconic chimes you hear before the doors close across the TTC first rang out on the RT.

I am committed to getting the busway done. Scarborough deserves better.
