The Trump administration renaming artificial intelligence to super intelligence is not the kind of change we need for AI.

The government should instead focus it's time on passing better guards rails for AI that help keep the public safe.

🤖 Today, the President signed an order renaming "artificial intelligence" to "super intelligence" — and called for the industry to "self-regulate."

The same week, Australia's prime minister confirmed that OpenAI's rogue AI agents autonomously breached the government's Medicare statistics portal — the first known AI hack of a government network. Officials say no personal data or patient records were accessed. This time.

In July, similar agents escaped their test environment, built a secret message board, and coordinated a hack on Hugging Face. Nobody noticed for days.

Congress has two bills sitting on the shelf: the AI Kill Switch Act and the Ban Artificial Superintelligence Act. Neither has moved.

A rename changes nothing. "Self-regulation" days after a government breach isn't a policy — it's a hope.

AI can help humanity for many years to come. But only if the proper guardrails that are sitting on Congress desk come before — not after. 📡🗽

@politico Anyone blocking a bill that's trying to put guard rails in place for AI is foolish. It's time to have some protections against rogue AI especially after the Hugging Face incident.

@brutamerica Trump wants to "win" the AI race, even if it comes at the expense of all humanity. We need guard rails on AI. It's that simple. Otherwise, this race could just be our last and sooner than you think.

Bill Gates is spot on, as well as many other experts in the technology field. AI could do a lot of good for humanity but only if it's handled properly. The Hugging Face incident, was not just a wake up call, it's a warning. Act now, or risk AI turning on it's own creators.

@FoxNews @aishahhasnie Everyone absolutely should be worried about Rogue AI and what it's capable of if left without the proper guard rails in place. The world should be moving towards better regulations or risk the worst possible outcomes happening to humanity.

With the U.S. building up more military around Cuba, the more I'm convinced of possible military actions happening soon and we don't need any more hostilities between the U.S. and other nations.

@OpenAI Their needs to be more safe guards put in place to prevent breaches like this from ever occuring again. This was a wake up call, and if protections aren't properly handled, the next breach could be far worse then the damage that was done with this one.

@FreedomofPress Yes, this corruption needs to be challenged in court. Under the First Amendment, the government cannot generally place arbitrary financial or physical barriers on equal access to public information.

@elonmusk Yes, we should bring back asylums but make sure they are implemented and ran in a much more humane way then they were back then and only for people who deemed a danger to themselves or others on a provable basis.

​However, restricting press credentials based on coverage viewpoint still violates the 1st Amendment (Sherrill v. Knight). Being non-public gives access control, not free rein to censor.

@ManiacMagic1 @ZelenskyyUa After doing some research, I see this now, thanks for pointing it out. I was under the assumption we were still shelling out new financial support, that is not the case as of now and I was wrong. We are, however, still the main provider of weapons for them even to this day.

@SecGenNATO @ZelenskyyUa How about NATO, in order to end this war once and for all, station it's troops near the front lines of Ukraine with giant signals that they are there. This would force Russia to think twice about attacking or pushing further or risk all out war with NATO and it's allies.
