Hey @AMCTheatres your app truly is horrible for searching for movies playing at your own theaters.
And it’s not just this movie. It’s literally multiple and happens so often I don’t even bother using your app anymore to search.
You should fix that.
Things that can kill an indie film:
1. Big egos
2. Rushing the script
3. Dragging out development
4. Overspending on equipment
5. Neglecting actors for camera
6. Making sound an afterthought
7. Not taking feedback from the team
8. Not caring about the small details
@Films_At_Home Hey! I’ve noticed lately the films I want to buy have a DVD available in the US but not a Blu Ray. Those are only available as region B/2. Any insight as to why that is?
How to Blow Up A Pipeline is one of them.
@YCImaging The “anything for the shot” mentality is the gospel of the amateur and unprofessional and is used as a crutch for those who failed to properly plan.
@_microbudgetpod The filmmakers who followed this advice have all moved on to larger budget shows, while the ones who made excuses and didn’t treat their sets with a large budget mentality, are still stuck in micro and can’t figure out why they can’t level up. (2/2)
@_microbudgetpod From my experience working both micro to large budget shows.
Even though you’re micro budget, go into the shoot with a large budget mentality. Meaning don’t skip the pre-production work just cause it’s micro budget & treat everything as if it’s going to distro or client. (1/2)
I was quoted extensively in this new article from @MediaPlayNews on the future of physical media and home entertainment.
The bottom line is, I would encourage everyone to buy a Blu-ray player and own your favorite films!

@kyalbr Caught this with Brian Duffield doing Q+A at the @am_cinematheque and it’s fantastic on the big screen, the sound design really shines with a proper surround setup 🎥
Speaking as an owner/op, continually buying the latest and greatest piece of camera tech will not always get you into the next level of your career. You will eventually hit that glass ceiling and realize renting from camera houses provides a superior level of professionalism.
