Thank you to KOIN and AM Extra for having me on to talk about my new book, hard-boiled noir, and why Portland is such a perfect setting for a genre like that. After all the years working behind the camera was certainly a little weird being in front of it.

"A gripping story that starts with a bang and keeps things interesting with many twists and turns... Captivating novel that will hold readers in suspense until the very end."

Call Valeria a secretary at your own risk, she throws a nasty right hook and deserves every bit of respect on this PI team. There's Always a Few Killers Around keeps piling on twists until the very last page. https://t.co/dxUMVrwqG9 #MysteryThriller
@espnSteveLevy Well said. Barry was such a joy to work with. Always up for anything. Telling stories about bus rides to Kamloops, the Cincinnati Stingers, and then break down the Soviet Red Army team. All with a laugh and a smile. Thank you for everything Coach.
@hblethh__ Didn't this happen years ago in Pittsburgh too? Everyone knew Brian St. Pierre was the Steelers third string QB but no one actually knew what he looked like so some guy went around scamming people claiming he was St. Pierre.

Just when France thought they were coming back for the win, England finished them off with a sneaky counter attack. What is this, the plot of Master and Commander?
COMING SOON! Thorne, Dynamite, and Valeria are back for another hardboiled noir adventure into the dark side of the Rose City. I'm really proud of this book for having the most in depth and entangled plot I've ever done. #PortlandNoir
The group stage successes made the Belgium game such a failure. It stings but I also got to cheer more and be prouder of the USMNT than ever before at a WC. Missed chances, unknown enthusiastic celebrations, and a chance to be proud to be American again. Did it all this WC.
Is it possible the WC was both a success and failure for USMNT? Last game was atrocious. But before that was the most dominant group stage ever. For those saying worse than 2022, that team tied Wales and barely held on vs Iran.
Once again my plea to stop calling Own Goal the Golden Boot leader. OG plays every game for both teams. Right now that's 14 goals in 176 games (88 games x2 for both teams) or .08 goals pg. In other words OG is a 10-times worse scorer than Balogun and 22-times worse than Messi.
Singing Country Roads in a packed bar full of friends and strangers is a religious experience that makes the World Cup so special. #USMNT#BeautifulGame
Underrated great part of World Cups, when a goal is scored the whole team runs on the field to join in the celebrations and everyone is just totally cool with it. If this happened in a league game it would spark brawls but WC? Join the fun!
