Anybody who studies this video objectively will agree that the MAZI NNAMDI KANU you see here is not a violent man and he meant well. This was in August 2017, and a political solution was in insight before they struck with Python Dance. #MNK was the good guy; the others were not.

It’s a matter of public record that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has fulfilled all legal requirements of his appeal by filing his brief of argument, motion for accelerated hearing, and a bail application before the Court of Appeal.

Yet, the government has so far failed to file its reply brief, and the court is yet to schedule a date to hear either the substantive appeal or the bail application. 

This systematic delay is tantamount to injustice. Personal liberty is a fundamental right. When the main appeal is intentionally stalled by the prosecution's inaction, the bail application must be treated as high-priority.

To be sure, keeping Mazi Nnamdi Kanu incarcerated without hearing his bail application amounts to a violation of his right to be heard within a reasonable time.

The Court of Appeal is therefore strongly urged to act now! Hearing Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s bail application has now become more urgent than ever.

I posted this video in the interest of peace and good order in Osina community, Ideato North (where I hail from). And the young lady who made this compelling public appeal mentioned my name, @IkengaImo and others, pleading with us to help in the peaceful resolution of the matter.

I therefore call on Eze Osina and other eminent persons from Osina and Ideato nation to urgently weigh-in and bring the parties to a peaceful resolution that would be approved by the court. The Imo House of Assembly member representing Ideato North should take particular note of this matter, with a viewing to helping in its lasting resolution.

In due course, I will reach out to the parties and the persons mentioned to explore the opportunity of an urgent meeting. Meanwhile, I appeal to the parties to maintain calm and avoid any actions that could lead to breakdown of law and order.

33 SUSPECTED ILLEGAL MINERS ARRESTED BY NSCDC IN MINNA JUST FOUND DEAD IN CUSTODY.

They were arrested during operations on 15–16 September. Found dead early this morning, 17th. NSCDC says a suspected disease outbreak kill3d them inside the cell. Their Bodies have been taken to General Hospital, Minna for autopsy. Police have opened an investigation.

Meanwhile, the relatives of the 33 deceased have been protesting in parts of Minna, demanding answers over the deaths.
