A young mother is appealing to President John Dramani Mahama and the Health Minister for urgent help after her son reportedly became unable to walk, talk, and see following a hernia surgery at Koforidua Central Hospital when he was just 1 year and 8 months old.
A mother is calling on the President of Ghana, the Ministry of Health, and relevant authorities to intervene and ensure justice for her child. She explained that her son underwent emergency hernia surgery at the Koforidua Central Hospital when he was 1 year and 8 months old.
According to her, the surgery was unsuccessful, leaving the child unable to walk or speak, and he subsequently lost his sight. She added that she was forced to sell her shop and spent a significant amount of money seeking medical care for him, but all efforts to restore his health have been unsuccessful.
President John Dramani Mahama has tasked technical universities to tailor their programmes to support the government’s policy of promoting Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education in Ghana.
