This is a great insight and something that needs to be addressed! It is these disadvantaged communities that are most at risk. And climate change only seems to be picking up speed.
I found myself questioning my sources at times and I agree it definitely does come down to the credibility of your source that will provide you with quality information!
I learned that effective research involves looking at the credibility of the author on the topic as well as the location which it is located! #WhatIlearnedin39C
Climate change is affecting our everyday lives and the time to act is now! I've learned that there have been many policies that aim towards addressing climate change, yet the effects still keep happening, which is why the time to act is now.@39CSustain#WhatILearnedin39C
I agree. All of these potential threats all compound one another. I for one have examined the compounding effects of ocean acidification and the hypoxia of the gulf!
Just a small increase in global temperatures results in a cascade of doom: rising sea levels, heat waves galore, extreme ocean acidification, and intensification of our current 6th mass extinction are just a few to mention.

I also learned how important Twitter is for both finding ideas and spreading them. People spend a lot of time on Twitter, and while there is a lot of fluff, there is a lot of great content. #WhatIlearnedin39C https://t.co/XkXbz0pNXx
#WhatIlearnedin39C Do not feel like you are alone in this fight. There are so many resources/peers/organizations who feel the same as you! Reach out. Find your voice in numbers and support those issues that you truly feel strong about. Speak up! #39Csustain.
#WhatIlearnedin39C Peer review is not only helpful, but it game changing. There are so many ways that your peers can help you whether it is revision, ideas, or even advocacy. There is endless help out there. You just need to ask. #39CSustain
#WhatIlearnedin39C Is that there are numerous groups, organizations, and funds that we as a younger generation must attend to. I learned that there are countless ways to use your voice for #climatechange. And that knowledge is not only power, but it your right! #39Csustain
#WhatIlearnedin39C There are invaluable skills that I have attained from this class due to actual writing and research. Things such as researching as issue and going deeper into critical thinking. Finding NOGA sources that I have never known about for my own personal use.
#WhatIlearnedin39C There is much more to climate change and sustainability than meets the eye. Issues run much deeper than the surface and have many agendas to attend to. Areas such as the agricultural industry have underlying agendas. https://t.co/2WAj7Qttbk
Please followers, do not let big corporations such as the agriculture and oil industries continue to get these tax breaks and these subsidies! Make them pay for #sustainability practices. These wetlands help mitigate nutrient runoff! #39CSustain

Please followers, go donate! Help make a difference within the gulf. Help promote awareness and funding for those that are affected by #AgriculutralNegligence#39CSustain
With this lack of advocacy and apathetic players that lie within the agricultural industry, we can see WHY this issue has come to be. This however does NOT mean that we must be silent about it. Here is a bill that you can advocate for! #39Csustain https://t.co/uMBeWn4dS4
Here is an excerpt from my advocacy project paper that allows my audience to fully understand the scope of this issue that is long overdue the attention it deserves. Although there may be misconceptions of how it is fueled, here are the facts #39CSustain https://t.co/lej0OtEVNG.
Through the use of research and evidence based papers that I have written, I have been able to fight for advocacy for an issue that has plagued our country for much too long. Here attached is an excerpt from a paper that I wrote. https://t.co/b1ZigXu6fs
Through advocacy we have been able to achieve many things here in the United States that range from labor reform all the way to ecological sustainability. Not only does that set a precedent for others here at home, but it sets the scene for others around the world #39CSustain
Did you know?
1. The world’s great forests are in the process of losing around 50% of their plant species.
2. Mammals, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and insects have begun to disappear on every continent on what will soon be a catastrophic scale.
Ecological catastrophe is now.
After a decade of organizing and engineering, the power of the fossil fuel industry is past its peak.
That doesn't mean we'll win the climate fight. It means we have a chance.
