GOOD NEWS: Yesterday, we, alongside @justice4ms, won an injunction against #SB2343, a #Mississippi law that would make peaceful protests near state gov. buildings illegal in #Jackson w/o prior permission from state officials. https://t.co/aDKlV0uPTK
.@JxnUndivided files lawsuit to stop new law requiring the Public Safety Commissioner or Capitol Police Chief’s permission to protest or gather in Jackson anywhere near buildings occupied by a state employee — aka damn near all of non-residential Jackson. https://t.co/ISwW2dakw1
Doc. 34 — “IT IS, THEREFORE, ORDERED AND ADJUDGED that the effectuation of HB1020 is stayed until a full hearing is had on the matter and a ruling is issued or until May 14, 2023 at 5:00 p.m., whichever shall occur first.”
