I’m convinced at this point I’m able to make a math game out of anything. COVID bin lids came in useful. Hannahs old shopkins. And dice. Voila. Make twenty and then let’s break twenty apart. Next week - let’s print the math language on paper !
When they make things real for them and find the resources in the classroom, great learning happens! Love the thinking that went into this set up, the collaboration, the compromise, and the ingenuity of finding the supplies they needed to make this happen.
I am so incredibly proud of these two. Motherhood is not easy and there are no manuals. But my line to then is “Always believed in, always protected, always loved”. I wish you all a happy Mother’s Day, in whatever role you fill, you feel love.
A HUGE thank you to those who donated for our creative centre! The kids were in awe this morning. Now they can “Keep Calm and Create On!” Thanks to your generosity. We appreciate parent support so much. They have had purpose this morning and it’s been wonderful to watch.
These friends enjoyed working together with their educator to build a car race track. They discovered a ball went much smoother than the cars. @silwrdsb
Such fun this week already! Our scholars recorded what they saw yesterday watching the eclipse, practiced writing new words by stretching sounds with a spinning game, and learned a new game we called “Crazy Dasies” !
Look at the snow Mrs Perry’s parents got (and continue to get ) The snow plows cannot get down the roads and the transcanada is closed! What would you do in THAT much snow?! Mrs Perry and her kids wish they were there to play in the snow! Should we all go help shovel? Road trip!
K5 worked so hard today building their first snow dragon. We created spheres, counted how many we made, problem solved how to make the face, used our big muscles to push those spheres in place and helped each other get them to where they needed to be. @silwrdsb
