Being a grassroots political party, Trinamool Congress has its legacy of always welcoming new ideas and strength in its cadre. It's a great opportunity for the young generation to carry forward that legacy as one of the warrior in the party. #YouthWithTMC. @MamataOfficial
I have stood firmly with the students and their movement from the very beginning. Their fight is not just for justice in the NEET scam- It is a fight to protect the future of every young Indian.
The brutal crackdown by the Delhi Police on peaceful protesters is deeply disturbing and utterly unacceptable. Students were mercilessly beaten, lathi-charged, fired upon with pellet guns and subjected to tear gas simply for demanding accountability.
So fearful is the Union Government of a peaceful democratic movement that it reportedly suspended internet services in and around Jantar Mantar and invoked the draconian National Security Act (NSA) to carry out preventive detentions of students- The very future of our nation.
The Prime Minister speaks of zero tolerance towards corruption and promises strict accountability. Yet, only yesterday, the CBI stated that it found no evidence against the alleged kingpin in the 2024 NEET paper leak case. If those accused of destroying the future of lakhs of students continue to escape accountability, who is the government really protecting? Why is it so desperate to shield the Education Minister instead of answering the questions being raised by students across the country?
The entire Opposition, along with the entire nation, stands firmly with our students and youth. I salute every young Indian for their indomitable spirit, unwavering courage, and refusal to bow before lathis, intimidation or the abuse of state power.
India is proud of you all.
It was such a peaceful movement, feel so sad that it had to take a violent turn. My heart goes out to the students and their families who were hurt. Paper leak is a very serious issue, and I am glad to know n see that the kids of our country have come together for a better educational system, and their parents supported them.
I truly appreciate the stand they have taken, showing dedication, sincerity, and keenness to study hard n make their future and a greater, educated India. This andolan, this protest, is the right way to go abt it, n the students have done this peacefully. So courageous and brave. Driven and motivated towards education, this generation will make India proud.
This issue is between the students and the educational system, it should not be hijacked politically, the credit should only go to the students of our country, and I am sure the government will also give them all the support n make it a stronger educational system. It’s a win-win situation. Hoping n praying for a positive decision. God bless all of you who wanna be educated.
Education should be the next trend and fashion, and should get trendier n more fashionable yr by yr, itna k bahar se log come to India to study and India becomes an educational hub.
I strongly condemn the police brutality unleashed on our youth and students in Delhi today.
What kind of government fears its own students? What kind of democracy responds to questions with batons and tear gas instead of dialogue?
The Nation belongs to its students, its farmers, its women, its workers and to every citizen. Dissent is not a crime. Brutality is not governance.
I stand firmly with my young brothers and sisters. Accountability is non-negotiable.
Salute to each one of them for their courage, resilience and indomitable spirit. They have shown the nation what fearlessness is.
Our Hon’ble Chairperson Smt @MamataOfficial personally reached the Calcutta High Court today to argue in a matter concerning the widespread post-poll violence unleashed across Bengal by @BJP4Bengal.
Once again, she has shown what truly sets her apart -
She NEVER abandons the people of Bengal in their hour of need.
She NEVER stops fighting for truth, justice, and constitutional values.
And time and again, she rises above the politics of hatred with unmatched COMPASSION, COURAGE and CONVICTION.
Whether confronting the injustice of SIR or standing firm against the unruly conduct of @BJP4India, she continues to prove that there is truly NO LEADER LIKE HER in the country today.
Calcutta High Court is hearing PILs against widespread post-poll vandalism and violence in West Bengal in wake of the 2026 State Assembly Election results. Former Chief Minister @MamataOfficial is present in court to argue the matter.
Bengal administration DENIES PERMISSION TO HOLD RABINDRA JAYANTI CELEBRATIONS.
Yes, you read that right, this is the New Bengal. This is the great 'Poriborton'.
Permissions were sought for 3 different locations by non-political organisations - ALL DENIED. Hence, we will continue to hold the celebrations honouring Kobiguru Rabindranath Tagore in the area adjoining our Hon'ble Chairperson's residence.
@BJP4Bengal, mark our words - YOU CANNOT RIP OUT KOBIGURU RABINDRANATH TAGORE FROM OUR HEART & SOUL.
Today, I place before the people my 10 ‘Protigya’ for Bengal.
My commitments span every pillar of governance, strengthening support for women, youth, farmers, landless agricultural labourers, and the elderly; advancing education and healthcare; ensuring housing and piped drinking water for every household; strengthening administration; and transforming Bengal into the Gateway of trade for Eastern India.
Through these pledges, I reiterate my resolve to sustain the momentum of progress with renewed vigour in the fourth term of my Maa-Mati-Manush Sarkar, and to further strengthen Bengal’s position as one of the leading states of the nation.
Shri @abhishekaitc paid his floral tributes to Kazi Nazrul Islam and took the stage at Nazrul Mancha to launch Tapashilir Sanglap.
For the next two months, our leaders will travel across SC and ST-dominated localities, engaging in meaningful conversations with our Dalit and Adivasi brothers and sisters.
You know elections are around the corner when BJP vultures start hovering overhead, slithering to doorsteps, begging for votes with crocodile tears and empty pledges, only to betray, vanish without a trace, and leave shattered promises in their wake.
But we stand with the people year-round, empowering our Dalit and Adivasi communities through targeted welfare initiatives, amplifying their voices, and safeguarding their rights against BJP's casteist onslaught.

Valentine’s Day is a celebration of love in all its forms and manifestations, in its widest and noblest sense; love that transcends caste, creed, class and religion.
It is this spirit of love that has guided my journey in public service. A love for the people strong enough to withstand storms, patient enough to listen, and bold enough to fight for justice and dignity.
Happy Valentine's Day!
ভালোবাসা দীর্ঘজীবী হোক!
