Therapy Dog Lovely Luna

In a world that can sometimes feel heavy with challenges, there are quiet heroes who walk on four paws, carrying nothing but love, comfort, and unwavering loyalty. 
One such hero is Luna, the stunning German Shepherd mix and proud  Therapy Dog for Operation K9 Beethoven.
With her striking coat, alert ears, and soulful eyes that seem to understand every unspoken word, Luna has become a beacon of hope for veterans and children. Whether she’s gently resting her head in a lap, offering a soft nuzzle, or simply sitting patiently by someone’s side, Luna’s presence has the remarkable ability to ease pain, calm anxiety, and reignite smiles.

Luna doesn’t just visit — she heals. As a true Heart Warrior, she spreads waves of love, comfort, and pure joy wherever she goes. Her gentle spirit reminds every person she meets that they are seen, valued, and never alone.

Luna absolutely adores her role as a therapy dog and lights up every time she visits a veterans home, school, scouts meeting, etc. for another day of making a difference.

Luna, the Shepherd Mix Hero, reminds us all that sometimes the greatest healing comes not from medicine alone, but from a wagging tail, a gentle gaze, and a heart full of unconditional love.

🐾 Volunteers Needed to Help a Local Veteran 🐾

Operation K9 Beethoven is looking for volunteers to help walk the service dog (pictured) of one of our beloved veterans who is going through a difficult time and needs a little extra support from the community.

We are seeking kind, reliable volunteers to help walk his dog, Holly, on a rotating schedule. This is a wonderful opportunity for:

Animal lovers

People who want to support our veterans

Students who need community service hours

Boy Scouts of America or Girl Scouts of the USA members earning service hours

Anyone who simply wants to help a good man in need

📍 Location: Dumont, New Jersey

🐕 Walking Schedule (Sunday–Saturday):

1st Walk: Between 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM

2nd Walk: Between 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Optional 3rd Walk: Between 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Even helping once in a while would make a huge difference. Our veteran is a wonderful gentleman who has served our country, and right now he simply needs a little help from the community.

🐾Fun Facts About Beethoven 🐾

Many people know that Beethoven is the “big boss” at Operation K9 Beethoven, but there’s a lot more to this incredible pup than most realize.

Not only is Beethoven a dedicated Service Dog for his dad, but he is also an active Therapy Dog who regularly visits veteran homes, hospitals, rehabs, and community events, etc. bringing comfort, smiles, and support wherever he goes.

Beethoven also spends time giving back in many other ways. He visits schools, including special needs schools, hearing-impaired programs, Scouts of America programs, helping children learn about therapy dogs, service dogs, inclusion, and kindness. He has appeared on podcasts, TV news segments, and radio programs to help spread awareness about veterans, service dogs, therapy dogs, and the mission of Operation K9 Beethoven.

And here’s something else many people may not know…

Beethoven is also an *Associate Member of the Marine Corps League*, proudly serving as the mascot for the LCPL Jedh C. Barker Detachment in Saddle Brook. In this role, he assists Commandant, Ed Ebel with detachment events, monthly meetings, and the league’s community outreach efforts.

Beethoven isn’t just the boss at Operation K9 Beethoven….
