K9 Will is retiring after over 8 years of service with the FCSO. As a team, Sgt. Valentine and Will assisted multiple agencies in narcotics detection as well as tracks, article searches and building searches. The team was also featured on Live PD. Will is going to be missed!
COVER MODEL! Deputy Zach Cooper and K9 Indy are gracing the cover of Police K-9 Magazine this month. Indy is a two-year-old Belgian malinois who specializes in narcotics detection. The accompanying article features a photo and bio of each FCSO K9 Team! @PK9Mag
Deputy Robert McKee and his K9 partner, Gator, are marking out of service for the final shift of their career. Deputy McKee has served Franklin County for 35-years. Congratulations on your retirement. You will be missed!
Sad news to share. The FCSO unexpectedly lost K9 Vando Monday evening following a medical emergency. He served as a dual purpose explosive detection/patrol K9 and was a faithful partner to Sgt. Aaron Heflin since 2013. No words for how much we will miss you, buddy.
CONGRATULATIONS! The FCSO wishes a happy retirement to Deputy Roderick Thorne AND his K9 partner, Diablo. Deputy Thorne started his career at FCSO in March of 1998 and served in Corrections, Patrol, and the K9 Unit. We thank you both for your dedication and service.
The FCSO reminds you that when the temperature drops below 20-degrees, your pets are at risk for hypothermia and frostbite. As Franklin County braces for a winter storm, we encourage you to bring your pets indoors or ensure they have proper shelter from the cold.
27 years ago today @OHFCSO Deputy Sheriff Ronald Coen was killed responding to a call for back up. We must never forget our Fallen! #lodd#ThinBlueLine#NeverLetThemWalkAlone https://t.co/dCa3jV7fC9…
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Gibson family, K9 Riley's family, and the entire @sacsheriff as they mourn the loss of Deputy Adam Gibson and K9 Riley. Rest easy heroes.
#NeverForget
Incredible teamwork by FCSO Communications Technicians, Patrol Deputies, and K9 Vando to track and capture a suspect out of an armed robbery and shooting in Grove City. Deputies tracked the gunman’s footprints in the snow and Vando alerted to his hiding spot near a shed.
It is with a heavy heart that the FCSO announces the passing of retired K9 Blek. He was “all business” and ultimately responsible for the seizure of millions of dollars worth of illegal narcotics and currency. K9 Blek retired in 2017. RIP buddy @OHFCSO https://t.co/dUg3Rxpe39
The FCSO extends its deepest sympathy and support to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office. Corporal Adam McMillen passed away Friday, two weeks after he was involved in a serious vehicle crash. He is Ohio’s fourth law enforcement officer killed in the line of duty in 2020.
Congrats to Patrol K9 Vando for winning the @OhioGoingBlue K9 contest. We wanted to introduce you to the entire team. That’s. A. Lot. Of. Dog. Hair. @OHFCSO
