Today @justvanrossum explained to the LS students the math behind the drawing functionality offered by font tools. The current legacy of Pierre Étienne Bézier was presented in the best KABK (read: Gerrit Noordzij) tradition: on a blackboard with a piece of chalk and a bit of fun.

Shortly the University of Split will publish a book by Nikola Djurek and Frank E. Blokland that combines elements from Frank’s calligraphy coursebook (1990), his PhD dissertation, with Nikola’s PhD dissertation on Croatian diacritics, plus his recent research on Croatian scripts.

Shortly we’ll release our newest innovative DTL Blockchain typeface. It makes use of the latest technical mechanisms to trace the complete trajectory in which the fonts are used. We definitely believe that this advanced technology will stop any form of illegal usage of typefaces.
